Some words from our first IDOC - Brian Penswick

1. Could you tell us a little about yourself and your background in Coaching?

"I have been coaching football for approximately 18 years, ranging from Little Kickers to grassroots football to a professional clubs centre of excellence to managing a local adult team. At the present time I only coach at Little Kickers but do miss the banter of adult football. I have been running a Little Kickers franchise now for about 6 years."

2. How did you come across the IDOC role?

"I came across the IDOC role after a e mail was sent out about the role, I expressed an interest in the rold and was very fortunate to be selected as Little Kickers first IDOC. I would recommend the role to everybody get sharing ideas and involved in the forums."

3. What were the best and worst parts of the role?

Hard to say what the best bit was from being chosen in the first place to all the great people who I met from around the world and helped contribute to my role. The worst bit was definitely the job coming to an end.

4. What can Little Kickers improve on?

"In my opinion we could all contribute a little bit more on the sharing of games or little tweaks we make to games, there are so many great coaches out there putting on sessions every weekend that are exciting and invigorating for the children, if every franchise or even every coach shared their favourite session what a collection of games we would have for everybody to use."

5. Any parting advice for the new IDOC?

"Enjoy it! Its definitely a time you will look back at and think wow I enjoyed that."
